Broomfield suspended a sweepstakes scheduled this month to grant three retail marijuana licenses after the county received “significant feedback” about who was applying and whether they were playing by the rules.
The suspension, announced by the province last week, came after Terrapin Care Station sued Broomfield and a number of competing applicants, claiming that many of the 26 competitors who applied used multiple copies of the same company name while at least three are related.
