(KYMA, KECY/CNN) — A new study published in “Jama Pediatrics” indicates that the number of school-aged youth using marijuana doubled between 2013 and 2020.
Smoking marijuana has increased dramatically in popularity among teens, with older teens seeming to be more likely to use vaping pots.
One in three high school seniors reported doing so, the highest number in the group.
A worrying trend for experts is that teens say they prefer cannabis extract over dried marijuana. This extract contains much more THC than marijuana plants, resulting in more intense high levels.
