New South Wales continues to outperform the current Omicron outbreak, tracking case numbers and hospital treatment numbers, but companies remain concerned about a lack of support as the country faces significant debt.
It comes as the new figure reveals that foot traffic is 39 percent lower in Parramatta’s central business district than it was before the pandemic.
The Google report also shows that movement around retail and business centers fell by 51 per cent in northern Sydney, 45 per cent in Waverly, 22 per cent in Blacktown and 13 per cent in Penrith.
The highest percentage so far is Sydney’s Central Business District, where traffic is down 61 per cent.
There is pressure on Prime Minister Dominique Perrottet to unveil his rescue packages, which could include subsidy grants, tax subsidies, exemptions and similar to a job creation scheme.
