Las Vegas (Class) – Las Vegas police are investigating the discovery of a large marijuana-growing home after a house fire in the Spring Valley.
According to investigators, the accident occurred at the 4400 Complex of Willowhill Courthouse, near Buffalo and Peaceway on Sunday, February 6.
Police say they noticed the house had been converted into a large residential marijuana growing operation. In all, there were 812 marijuana plants, weighing more than 300 pounds, indoors.
Investigators describe the house as having been fitted with electrical work, modified gas lines, and complete with lightning rods and fertilizer inside.
“This kind of situation is very dangerous and poses a significant fire risk to the house and neighbours,” the police said in a Facebook post.
Case investigators are asking anyone with information about the Grow House operation to call Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
