Last week, Tower Hill Botanic Garden covered live in herbs in a webinar that took a comprehensive look at the botanical science behind the cannabis plant. In doing so, it was among the first few major botanical gardens in the country to host an event focused on cannabis, providing yet another example of how cannabis is being embraced more and more by major institutions.
“There wasn’t much of a mainstream focus on gardening [cannabis]said Jessica Pederson, education director at Tower Hill. “There are a lot of people who know about the horticultural components of hemp, but that hasn’t been for long in the eyes of the gardening world, so we felt it was time to explore the horticultural components of hemp and hemp.”
