Zalympix is a play on weed’s word.zaza(slang meaning strange), mixed with the Olympic Games. It’s an odd pot contest in the bustling arena of global cannabis culture – Los Angeles. Ordinary people chose the winner by buying a box for $600 and receiving a code to choose the best flower in six categories, including the best overall.
The winners from two previous Zalympix have ended up in tournaments, which is why it was very difficult to judge the box. The boxes came out on May 16, and the awards ceremony on June 11. The judges got two tickets to the event and 2 grams of flower each from each competing brand, plus some goodies. Funds sold out.
