Six members of the Fiji Police Force have been certified as drug analysts by the New Zealand Institute of Environmental Science and Research.
The six employees, Miliana Kokanavola, Venti Chandra, Susanna Lodrau, Sakiosa Biaokola, Eliavi Wara and Eka Maravo are now certified identifiers of cannabis.
Assistant Police Commissioner Surind Sami says the force is grateful to ESR NZ for its endless support and assistance.
He adds that scientific expertise will help the force finish investigations into some lengthy or cold cases.
The six people are members of the Fiji Police’s team of drug and forensic chemistry analysts.
