You’ll see the fourth question on the ballot paper when you head to the polls on November 8th.
Should marijuana be legal for adults?
Today, advocates for the measure have spoken out why they support it.
“This is changing the lives of a lot of people,” said Eugene Munro, former Baltimore Raven president and campaign chairman. “We always factor in data points, whether it’s considering how many people have been arrested over the past year in Maryland, or the resources the police have to use for marijuana policing, when they should be redirected to monitoring the most violent crimes.”
If Question 4 is successful, recreational use of cannabis will be legalized for individuals age 21 and older on or after July 1, 2023.
A poll question requires a simple majority to become a law.
