Kamala Harris used her first late-night television appearance on the network since becoming vice president to reflect on how her life has changed since she got the job — including the lack of emojis — and to talk about the need to vote in the midterm elections.
Harris, who appeared early Tuesday on NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” in a taped appearance, encouraged President Biden’s administration’s efforts to combat climate change, restore abortion rights and pardon people with federal convictions for marijuana possession because she urged People are “speaking your voice” in the middle of the term.
“Nobody has to go to jail for smoking weed, right?” She added that governors and states should follow the president’s lead in granting pardons to state convictions.
