A 27-year-old Ontario woman has been charged with possession of more than 30 grams of dried cannabis in a public place following a traffic stop in the town of Madawasca Valley.
Ontario Provincial Police in Killaloe stopped traffic earlier this month in the town, which is about two hours west of Ottawa, according to reports. CFRA.
The report does not indicate the reason for the stop but the charge was imposed after OPP examined the contents of the vehicle.
In addition, the driver was charged with driving a motor vehicle without a license contrary to the law Highway Traffic Law and failure to hand over an insurance card contrary to Compulsory car insurance law.
The 27-year-old, a resident of Barrys Bay, was released ahead of his scheduled court appearance next month.
