Budtenders at Captain Jack’s Dispensary in San Bernardino, California, became the latest A group of cannabis workers to unionize.
According to a press release, the workers joined Teamsters Local 1932, which represents more than 14,000 workers in Inland Empire, California, and is part of the 1.2 million-member International Brotherhood.
Staff members have been steadily recruiting new members as the marijuana industry has expanded.
In January alone, the union organized workers in California Grass Door Delivery Company And Two Sunnyside Stores in Illinois.
The United Food and Trade Workers union has also been successful in organizing workers in the cannabis industry, Including California.
