The Massachusetts-based multi-state operator of Curaleaf Holdings is Cannabis cultivation facility closed in Bellmawr, New Jersey, and could lay off up to 40 workers.
All of Curaleaf’s marijuana growing operations will be consolidated at the company’s Winslow facility, according to a statement made available to NJ.com.

“Curaleaf is phasing out agriculture at the Bellmawr, New Jersey site to meet current business needs, and will use that site for other operations at this time,” the statement noted.
“This allows us to consolidate our production from the major platforms with our Winslow facility and will streamline operations to increase production.
“Winslow has the ability to support the overall market demand for New Jersey.”
The marijuana industry is streamlining operations and layoffs of hundreds of workers Last year in response to the challenges of capital markets, compressed wholesale prices and slower sales growth in some markets.
