last time it happened Wilfred Star turned cannabis operator Jason Jean In January 2021, he was navigating the ups and downs of a fledgling cannabis ownership.

Today, he continues to survive, learn and grow his brand, Wilfred CBD and Hemp, as well as his entrepreneurial acumen. While doing so, it takes the usual entrepreneurial smacks. In addition to directing his brand, Jan is embarking on additional endeavors to grow the brand while giving back to his fans and the cannabis community.

Launched in December 2020, the Wilfred Cannabis brand is right out of the gate California, are highlighted by THC smoke in the form of cigarettes. After a few months, CBD smokes appeared similarly. The THC brand is beginning to make incremental gains across the California market. The Australian and US releases quickly generated interest among the loyal fan base Wilfred, who participated in its creation. The recognition led to writers’ meetings, appearances, and sales.

Buoyed by marketing efforts such as in-store demos—with Jan pulling half the shifts himself and the other half as Wilfred’s meet-and-greets—he reported strong growth potential for the THC brand. He noted that there are plans for potential expansion into Oregon, Washington state, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

But the double whammy of the pandemic mixed with product and partner issues caused Wilfred’s major setback. Growth plans were halted in time. Rather than move forward, the THC brand has discontinued it in 2021.

Like many aspiring cannabis operators, Jan has focused on staying in business. With THC’s efforts on hold, he focused on the CBD line and Delta-8, the sometimes controversial product he offers behind it.

Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol, a naturally occurring cannabinoid chemical found in small doses in hemp and marijuana plants, certainly has supporters and operators like Jean. Many like him support his use of a less steep rise. Many others have defended Delta-8 for its ability to sidestep ban laws against Delta-9-THC and sell it legally.

Most of the concerns about Delta-8 revolve around the quality of the flowers and possible solvent spraying during production. Delta-8 proponents dispute this claim, often pointing out that only a few bad actors engage in such practices. However, many countries imposed bans or partial bans on its sale and production while the controversy was still going on. 14 states Passed laws against Delta-8 as of January 2023.

Jan said he became a fan of Delta-8 after becoming acquainted with it during the pandemic.

“I’m a big, big Delta-8 speaker,” said Jan. He added, “I get a really bad rap but… I’m more productive and I focus better and I don’t get anxious.”

On the CBD side, Wilfred Cannabis continues to source flower from an unnamed cannabis producer in Tennessee. Each CBD cigarette contains between 80 and 100mg of CBD. Meanwhile, the THC brand is exploring new ways to enter various US markets. Licensing deals are being discussed in multiple regions, including California, Illinois, New York and Australia.

Jan touched on the many positives he sees in licensing, including “partnership with a licensor who sees the value in the brand, and wants to have exclusive rights in that state.”

He now resides in Galicia, Spain with his wife and children, and divides time between his wife’s home country and the United States to meet with brands, production partners, and other business operations.

Double your podcast plans

Podcast plans are also in the works for Wilfred brand, with one focused on presentation and the other on the cannabis plant.

It’s been 21 years since Wilfred first appearance In an Australian short film. Two short seasons were released on Australian television in 2007 and 2010. In 2011, a US version premiered, spanning four seasons and 49 episodes, and concluded in 2014. Along the way, the show picked up a dedicated fan following that is still active on Gann’s Personal And Brand Instagram accounts.

After seeing the wave of success from other nostalgic podcasts, Jan decided to launch one for Wilfred fans. Plans are in the works now for Wilfred’s Anatomy, where he, his co-stars, and production members would watch and remember specific episodes and days. He also hopes the podcast will help tap into the often-discussed mental health components of the show.

“with Wilfred’s Anatomy“There’s something of a behind-the-scenes reunion,” he said. “But there’s also the mental health aspect that people reach out to me all the time about.”

Over the years, Jan has received many letters and met fans in person who have discussed how the show has helped with their mental health experiences. To address this aspect, he hopes mental health experts will also be on the show.

Jan is now refining production procedures for the show. Pre-production planning is said to be nearing completion. Guest reservation is also almost complete. Jan reports most of the principles and selected production members signed. He hasn’t yet believed in American superstar Elijah Wood yet, citing work schedules, but remains hopeful it will happen.

Gunn also said discussions about a third Australian series to celebrate the 20th anniversary could be in the works. However, nothing is planned at this time.

He said, “I’m not announcing it, but we’re talking about it.” “It would be kind of cool to put a button on the end of it and put it back where it started.”

Cannabis law

Gann’s second planned podcast endeavor is Cannabis law. labeled as Cosmos Meets ancient aliens Meets The Da Vinci CodeEach episode plans to feature Gunn as he takes listeners on a journey connecting cannabis with humanity and beyond. Jan’s personal experiences with vegetarianism, mental health, and alcoholism over the years inspired the show.

With six years of sobriety by 2013, Jean abstained from cannabis until Season 4 of the show Wilfred He was about to shoot. The decision came from the understandings he had gathered earlier in his life, as well as from the doctor’s help. For Jan, the decision to use cannabis was more than a medical one.

“I just felt like I had a spiritual connection with cannabis that was important to my soul’s journey,” he said.

The feeling inspired him to explore the spiritual connection that cannabis has with some of the first human groups and later. in cannabis law, He hopes to analyze those connections and what he feels they mean.

“I think there is another therapeutic component to cannabis that science and medicine are not yet able to identify,” he said.

Gan took a special interest in the Dogon people of Mali. Ancient Dogon stories and prophecies believe that cannabis originated from the brightest star in the winter sky, the Star of the Two Dogs. Known as the dogon plant, the plant was gifted to humans by visiting species. The story has been passed down for thousands of years. As such, the Dogon are believed by many to have a connection to an extraterrestrial species, one that Gan supports.

He said, “I can’t believe these people told this story, what a purpose of playing, like, a 20,000 year old prank…on posterity.”

Jan doesn’t just believe that cannabis came from another planet to help expand and develop our thinking. He claims to have direct experience with extraterrestrial beings.

“When I was about 27 years old, I had interactions with a bunch of extraterrestrial beings,” he said.

Since that experience 23 years ago, Jean has explored aliens, history, and ancient civilizations to learn more. he feels Cannabis law It helps answer some of these questions.

“I recently started calling myself an ‘electronic sniper theorist’ because, to me, I think there’s a lot more to this plant,” he said.

Gann hasn’t provided official release dates for either podcast but hopes to provide some updates soon.
