Rhode Island governor appoints members to anti-cannabis commission

Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee on Wednesday announced three appointments to the Cannabis Control Commission, which will oversee regulation, licensing and control of the state’s medical marijuana and adult-use markets.

Kimberly Ahern, President: Current Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Mackie’s Office and Former Deputy Counsel for Ex-Governor Gina Raimondo’s Office. Robert Jacquard: A self-employed attorney who worked for 22 years with the Cranston (Rhode Island) Police Department and as a state representative from 1993 through 2021. Lay Odingbo: Owner, Founder, and Director Attorney at a Cranston law firm, who previously served as a corporate consultant dealing with matters of Compliance and governance.
